VANRATH is delighted to be working with a highly regarded accountancy firm to recruit an ambitious Chartered Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant, ideally with around one year's post-qualification experience, who is looking to build a serious career in Corporate Finance.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing team working on complex and high-value transactions, with genuine exposure to business owners, investors and senior decision-makers. This is not a role where you will simply support from the sidelines - you will be encouraged to take ownership, develop strong client relationships and become actively involved in some of the most significant transactions in the local market.
With close support from an experienced Corporate Finance Partner and a clear pathway towards Director, this is an opportunity for someone ambitious who wants to build a long-term career in deal advisory.
The RoleYou will work across a broad range of Corporate Finance assignments, gaining exposure to the full transaction lifecycle and working closely with clients from initial discussions through to completion.
The role will suit someone commercially minded, confident dealing with people and genuinely interested in understanding how businesses operate, grow and create value.
You will be given the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while becoming increasingly involved in client management, transaction strategy and business development.
What You Will DoWork on a diverse range of Corporate Finance transactions including M&A, acquisitions, disposals, fundraising and strategic advisory projects.
Take an active role in significant transactions from initial engagement through to completion.
Build and analyse detailed financial models to support transaction decisions and valuations.
Undertake financial analysis and due diligence, identifying key commercial issues and opportunities.
Work directly with business owners, management teams, investors and senior stakeholders.
Develop a strong understanding of clients, their businesses and their strategic objectives.
Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and transaction documentation.
Support negotiations and transaction execution alongside senior team members.
Contribute to business development activity, pitches and new client opportunities.
Develop your own network and reputation within the local Corporate Finance market.
Work closely with the Corporate Finance Partner and wider team, taking increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
Exposure to high-value and complex Corporate Finance transactions.
Direct involvement with business owners, entrepreneurs, investors and senior stakeholders.

ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
Ideally around one year's post-qualification experience, although relevant experience will be considered.
Previous experience within Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Audit or a closely related practice environment.
