** A long standing turnkey provider of bespoke products and solution, is seeking a hands on Finance Manager to take responsibility for its day to day finance function.

This is a varied, standalone position within an established and profitable business, offering considerable autonomy and responsibility for the full accounting process. Working closely with the directors and external accountants, the Finance Manager will oversee the financial administration of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, effective financial controls and the smooth running of all transactional finance activities.###

Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of the day to day finance function, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all accounting processes run efficiently.
* Manage both weekly and monthly payroll, including overtime, allowances, commissions, PAYE, pension submissions and associated journals.
* Oversee purchase ledger activities, processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements and managing regular and ad hoc payment runs.
* Manage sales ledger processes, including customer invoicing, staged and contractual payments, credit control and allocation of receipts.
* Complete bank reconciliations, monitor daily cash movements and oversee company credit cards and employee expenses.
* Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, including reverse charge VAT and postponed VAT accounting on imports.
* Manage CIS compliance, including subcontractor verification, payment processing and monthly HMRC submissions.
* Handle foreign currency transactions, including purchasing currency and processing overseas supplier payments.
* Liaise with external accountants regarding yearend accounts, while supporting the directors with financial information, insurance renewals and other finance related matters.

The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or similar hands-on accounting role.
* Comfortable managing the full finance function independently within an SME environment.
* Experience processing payroll and managing purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT and bank reconciliations.
* A practical, approachable individual who is happy to remain involved in transactional accounting as well as wider finance responsibilities.

Package and Working Pattern
* Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

This position would suit an experienced, hands on accountant who enjoys the variety and indepndence of managing a complete finance function.
* The business has an established trading history, operates within a specialist market and benefits from supplying bespoke products.

The successful candidate will become a key member of the business, with responsibility for maintaining financial controls and supporting the directors as the company continues to develop.
