Housing Officer (Fixed Patch)

Job Overview

The role involves providing an efficient, responsive and customer‑focused Housing Management Service to residents. The successful candidate will manage arrears, allocations, voids and anti‑social behaviour, ensuring high‑quality, affordable homes and maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver housing management services with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage arrears, allocations, voids and anti‑social behaviour incidents.
  • Allocate properties, assess transfer applications and handle assignments and mutual exchanges under the Housing Selection Scheme.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, to maintain accurate records.
  • Travel to business sites using a UK full driving licence and vehicle.
Essential Criteria
  • CIH Level 4 + 2 years of relevant housing or tenancy management experience with a social landlord or local authority.
  • Or a degree in any discipline + 2 years of relevant experience with a social landlord or local authority.
  • Or 3 years experience as a Housing Officer (or equivalent) within the last 5 years.
  • Working knowledge of the Housing Selection Scheme (allocation, transfer application assessment, assignments, mutual exchanges).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word).
  • Hold a UK full driving licence and have vehicle available for daily business use.
