Job Type: Full time
• Salary: £20.33 per hour
• Closing Date: 25 December 2025
To lead the care team to ensure the delivery of excellent standards of care and promote rehabilitation and independence while upholding dignity and respect for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and oversee person‑centred care, continually assessing residents' needs and wishes.
- Champion appropriate independence and personal choice, reviewing and updating care plans.
- Oversee medicine management on your shift, ensuring correct receipt, storage and administration.
- Build and market the positive reputation of the business; communicate warmly with visitors and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all aspects of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge.
- Participate knowledgeably in inspection visits from RQIA, Trusts and CCGs.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and best‑practice guidelines and manage risks proactively.
- Maintain rigorous monitoring and recording practice, documenting efficiently and thoroughly.
- Promote a cohesive team approach, encouraging staff members to connect with residents and organisation.
- Support the Home Manager in achieving key targets for the host home.
- Supervise staff so that the shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Participate in the delivery of all aspects of resident care.
- Mentor and guide others in line with the NMC Code.
- Follow the NMC Code at all times.
- Accept responsibility, show commitment and lead by example.
- Attend relevant meetings and regular team meetings, monthly appraisals with line manager.
- Act as a reflective and developmental practitioner, engaging in continual professional development and meeting revalidation requirements.
- NMC Registered Nurse.
- Numerate and literate; effective verbal and written communication.
- Effective use of IT and communication systems.
- Ability to build internal and external business relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure while motivating a team.
- Experience delivering nursing care within elderly health care sector.
- People management experience.
- Experience in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services.
