SEHSCT Clinical Research Nurse Band 6

To support the Research Manager in the delivery & co-ordination of clinical research in the South Eastern HSC Trust.

Under the direction of the manager contribute to the development and review of services and professional standards.

Works autonomously in day-to-day practice coordinating a portfolio of clinical trials and other high quality research studies and provides professional advice within the multidisciplinary team.

Responsible for screening, recruitment, care, management and follow-up of a caseload of patients in clinical trials adhering to local and national regulatory, research and professional guidelines, policies and standard operating procedures.

• Adhere to DHSSPS and NMC guidelines for practice requirements and standards.

• Registered General Nurse on Part 1 (Adult) of the live NMC Register.
• Research, audit or clinical trials experience
  
  Demonstrate knowledge of the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research.
