3) to join their Pathology team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and wants to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
The Role:
* Receiving, preparing and processing patient specimens for laboratory testing
* Accurately recording patient information and maintaining laboratory records
* Supporting Biomedical Scientists with the day-to-day running of the laboratory
* Operating, cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment in line with procedures
* Ensuring all work complies with quality standards, health & safety, and infection prevention policies
* Assisting with stock control and the general organisation of the laboratory environment
* Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver an efficient diagnostic service
The Person The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential: 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including English literature as well as one science subject. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to follow procedures and maintain strict confidentiality Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records

Western Trust Salary: £24,862.5
