CLIINCAL SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST
18 HOURS PER WEEK, BAND 7, Plan to increase the hours in the future where possible.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Outpatient MSK & Rheumatology Physiotherapy Team based at Queens Hospital Burton (QHB) Site. You will be part of a friendly and skilled MSK/Rheumatology team.
We are looking for a motivated musculoskeletal & Rheumatology physiotherapist who can demonstrate advanced assessment skills on a diverse and complex Rheumatology & MSK caseload. They need to have a proven ability to provide a working diagnosis and develop individualised treatment programmes. Our service receives referrals from primary care, secondary care (including post operative/trauma rehabilitation), and staff self-referrals. The wider team includes hand therapy and women's health.
You will work primarily in Rheumatology & MSK Physiotherapy Outpatients being the departmental clinical lead in advanced assessment and treatment of patients who have highly complex needs. You will receive a full induction to ensure competencies are achieved if not already gained in this role. You will have a strong focus on Rheumatology & rehabilitation, working to ensure making every contact count and personalised care is integrated and embedded across the department.

Training / Qualifications Essential- Degree level or equivalent in PT
- Evidence of CPD / development in clinical skills relevant to post
- Relevant Postgraduate training
- Experience of staff and student supervision and training
- Physiotherapy experience at band 6 level
- MDT working experience.
- Awareness of social prescribing and personalised care
- Awareness of appropriate MSK/Rheumatology investigations
- Experience of leadership within a team
- Understanding of audit, service evaluation, quality improvement and research
