Clinical Lead – Orthotics – Roehampton
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Orthotist to take the next step in their career as a Clinical Lead within our team in Roehampton – Queen Mary’s Hospital.
The successful candidate will have management responsibility for of the Orthotic Clinical Team, ensuring that clinics are fully optimised and are operating effectively within expected timescales.
In addition to their management responsibilities, the role holder will continue to assess and treat a complex range of patients in accordance with clinical best practice guidelines, as well as providing direct support to patients with clinical queries and complaints.
Key Responsibilities- Support Senior Management in driving continuous service and patient care improvements.
- Monitor and report on clinical activity, working with operations to address issues promptly.
- Lead clinical audits, R&D projects and development of clinical policies procedure and patient pathways.
- Motivate and manage the clinical team to optimise resources and meet organisational goals.
- Maintain effective communications with manufacturing teams to ensure timely accurate product delivery.
- Support compliance with statutory, HSE and quality assurance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships internally and externally.
- Able to prioritise, plan and organise efficiently, working with multiple conflicting priorities.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Committed to the highest standards of patient care in line with best practice and HCPC guidelines.
- Able to remain calm under pressure, demonstrating a positive attitude and the ability to lead by example at all times.
- Proven practical experience working successfully at a senior level as an Orthotist.
- Experience of successfully managing a clinical team.
The successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Certified Orthotist
- HND Orthotics
- BSc Orthotics
And in addition, must have:
- Full HCPC Registration
- The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
- Competitive market salary
