Support Worker​/Personal Assistant – Jedburgh

Job Description

A gentleman in Jedburgh looking for kind, patient and considerate Personal Assistant(s) to assist with managing his personal care needs and assistance with his morning routine safely and efficiently. Double up care required when mobilising and second carer or family members will be on hand to be the second carer for moving and handling procedures.

Hours:

Up to 17.5 hours per week as list below:

Monday – 07:00am- 10:30am

Tuesday – 07:00am- 10:30am

Wednesday – 07:00am- 10:30am

Saturday and Sunday – 07:00am – 10:30am

Extra hours may become available too at a later date.

• £14.35 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

• To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
• To support with personal care routine as/when required.
  • Personal care assistance in the mornings with shower/bed bath
  • Getting dressed and applying creams
  • Assist with breakfast preparation
  • Assistance to and from the commode during visit
  • Hoists and stand aids in place to help with moving and handling assistance – family member/other PA will be 2nd person

Hoists are used for all transfers so experience of moving and handling is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided. Someone with the right personal attributes, and to be able to show some suitability for the role is required.
