Altigaron is a warm, community-centred service in West Belfast, made up of 10 self-contained flats and a shared living area that supports 4 individuals with more involved care needs. The people we support here are at different points in their recovery journey, some living independently with light-touch support, others needing daily personal care and a consistent staff presence.
We're more than a service - we're a neighbourhood hub, and we regularly get involved in: ? Community events and bake sales ? Seasonal celebrations and wellbeing days ? Partnerships with local initiatives ? Creating shared, communal spaces that bring people together It's a real blend of independence and togetherness, which makes the role diverse, rewarding, and full of heart.
What Does the Role Involve? As a Project Worker, you will:
Support people to live safely and confidently in their own home Provide help with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, and personal care (where required) Get involved in planning community events and group activities Assist with medication, appointments, budgeting, and healthy routines Work shifts on a rota including early and late shifts (with full training and support) You'll also have opportunities to build long-term relationships with the people you support, celebrating milestones, helping them through challenges, and being a key part of their everyday life.
