Support Worker​/Personal Assistant – Eyemouth

Friendly, empathetic, and imaginative person needed to work with an energetic and cheerful young lady with complex disabilities. The role will be centred at home and in the community of Eyemouth supporting all aspects of her daily routine, accessing any activities/clubs, shopping, following and encouraging her interests, and helping her to engage with the local community. A driving licence is desirable;

a car is available for use when out and about.

• Hours per week:
  Up to 16 hours
• Hours of work:
  Very flexible with days and times to be agreed.
• £14.05 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 3 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

• To support a disabled young person to ensure their safety and well-being
• To support with social outings and community engagement
• To interact with the client and keep them entertained with activities they enjoy in their local community and own home.
• To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client's equipment and surroundings
• To develop a positive relationship with the young person and her family.
• To work alongside a parent or another member of the team when required but to work independently too
• To support with personal care needs as required on occasion.

• Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.
• Full driving licence is desirable as the client has her own car that will be used during support times.
