The Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare is a hands‑on position focused on delivering high standards of personal care while supporting residents. The position calls for enthusiasm and dedication, offering candidates the chance to make a positive impact in residents' lives daily. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene while ensuring dignity and independence, recognising and reporting clinical risk areas, and maintaining respectful interactions with residents and visitors.

Although no prior experience is required, candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Avery Healthcare offers a thorough induction and training program to ensure confidence in the role.

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
