Role

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to support the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will lead by example, guide and support care staff, assist with care planning, and ensure safe medication administration, while promoting a comfortable, respectful, and well‑managed environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the training and supervision of care staff.
  • Deliver and oversee person‑centred care, including personal care and mobility support.
  • Administer medication in line with policies and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in developing and updating care plans.
  • Ensure a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures.
  • Support residents’ wellbeing through daily activities and engagement.
  • Work closely with the team to maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations, including supporting catering and housekeeping where needed.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a care role, with leadership or senior responsibilities preferred
  • Compassionate, organised, and team‑oriented approach
  • Good understanding of care standards, safeguarding, and medication procedures
  • Willingness to lead, support, and develop others
