About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support a group of independent and vibrant individuals who live in their own self-contained apartments, with access to a shared lounge and kitchen where they love to socialise, cook, and relax together.

The people we support enjoy:

  • Trips to the seaside and meals out
  • Studying, job-seeking, and working towards personal goals
  • Spending time independently in their own spaces, and in the community.
  • Living life on their own terms, with choice and independence at the heart of everything

You’ll be part of a close-knit, experienced team who are passionate about creating an inclusive, and empowering environment.

This role is hands-on and dynamic — you’ll need to be calm, resilient, and confident in supporting people with emotional needs and behaviours that can be verbally or physically challenging. But you’ll also be part of something truly special: helping people live their best lives, every single day.

We are recruiting for a 22.5 or 45 hour contract, which would include at least one sleep-in shift per week.

Candidates with a full UK (manual) driving licence are strongly encouraged to apply.

About you:

You don’t need previous experience in care to be a great Support Worker — what matters most is your values and your passion for helping others.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and sensitive to others
  • Resilient, patient, and determined
  • Honest, reliable, and hardworking
  • Fun, friendly, and full of positive energy

Whether you’ve worked in care before, supported a loved one, or are simply someone who wants to make a difference — we’d love to hear from you.

We live by our values every day:
We Include We Deliver We Aspire We Respect We Enable

At Community Integrated Care, we’re committed to being a truly inclusive employer where everyone feels they belong. Our A Place I Belong strategy sets out our promises to build a fair, diverse, and welcoming workplace — one that reflects the communities we serve and celebrates every individual’s uniqueness.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.

As part of the process, you’ll have the chance to visit the service, meet the team, and get to know the people we support — we’re confident you’ll feel right at home.
