£15.96 per hour PAYE / £21.36 per hour Umbrella
12-month contract (likely to be extended)

We are currently seeking a meticulous and highly organised Payroll & Time Administrator to join our team in Belfast on a long-term contract. This is a key operational role responsible for the accurate collation, validation, and submission of payroll‑critical data, alongside the day‑to‑day management of the local time and attendance system. You will play a vital role in ensuring payroll accuracy each month, working closely with managers, employees, and the local HR team, as well as liaising with the central payroll team in North Wales to meet strict payroll cut‑off deadlines.
Acting as the primary point of contact for all time and attendance queries, you’ll be instrumental in supporting smooth payroll operations across the business.
- System Management:
Administer and maintain the time and attendance system using Google App Sheet. - Data Accuracy:
Ensure timely and accurate entry of employee hours, overtime, holidays, sick leave, and other absence types. - Query Resolution:
Serve as the first point of contact for time and attendance queries, resolving issues professionally and efficiently. - Reporting:
Produce weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc reports for payroll processing, management review, and HR analysis. - Data Entry & Administration:
Manage weekly and monthly upload files, complete payroll input sheets, new starter documentation, and other HR administration forms. - Leave Management:
Administer all leave types including annual leave, sickness, parental leave, and other authorised absences. - Auditing & Compliance:
Investigate and resolve system error or warning messages to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a payroll or time and attendance administration role.
- Experience handling medium to high‑volume data entry (500+ records).
- Strong proficiency with time and attendance systems and Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a highly accurate approach to data entry and verification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive problem‑solving skills and a resilient, can‑do attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
- High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Solid understanding of payroll administration processes.
- Experience using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).
