HR Advisor

Overview

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting for an HR Advisor on behalf of our client.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive HR professional to join a well-established organisation and play a key role in supporting the delivery of a positive employee experience.

The main responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Deliver accurate and compliant HR support throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support recruitment, on boarding, probation, payroll, employee changes, and off boarding processes.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes.
  • Prepare employment documentation and support compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Produce HR reports and people-related metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Support learning and development initiatives and monitor training completion.
  • Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee experience and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate

  • Experience in a similar HR role.
  • Experience maintaining HR systems and handling confidential employee information.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Ability to analyse and present HR data and metrics.
  • Good understanding of NI employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • HR qualification or relevant professional certification. (desirable)
  • Experience using HR technology, automation tools, or process improvement initiatives.
