HR Officer - 12-Month FTC
- Belfast

Overview

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting for an HR Officer on behalf of our client based in Belfast.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience across HR operations, employee relations, engagement, and people-focused initiatives within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

The main responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Support recruitment, on boarding, probation, and off boarding processes.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
  • Support performance management, absence management, and employee well being initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support HR reporting and administration activities.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Contribute to HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate

  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a similar HR role.
  • Experience supporting employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Good understanding of NI employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites when required.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement and well being initiatives.
  • Exposure to HR project work and organisational change activities.
  • Experience in a fast paced or multi-site environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.
