You’ll lead on complex employee relations matters, develop and embed HR policies, and provide expert guidance to leaders and managers. This is a hands-on role with strategic influence, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management Lead on all complex HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and safeguarding-related matters. Provide expert advice to Managers and senior leaders on employment law and best practice. Ensure timely and accurate documentation, investigation processes, and outcomes. Liaise with legal advisors and unions as required. Maintain the casework tracker and produce regular reports for SLT HR Policy Development Review and update HR policies in line with statutory changes.
Consult with all stakeholders including union representatives. Ensure policies are accessible, user-friendly, and embedded through training and communication. Lead on the development of toolkits, templates, and flowcharts to support policy implementation. Training & Support Deliver training and briefings to leaders and line managers on HR policies and case management. Support with bespoke advice and coaching on handling sensitive HR matters.
Develop FAQs and guidance notes to build confidence and consistency across the business. Strategic Contribution Contribute to workforce planning, change management, and organisational development initiatives. Support the HR Director in developing a proactive, responsive HR service. Analyse trends in casework and policy usage to inform strategic decision QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED CIPD qualified or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of employment law and best practice.
Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills. Experience managing complex casework and policy development. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and stakeholders. Driving licence
