We currently have a vacancy for a permanent Human Resources Advisor to join a hugely welcoming and supportive team. The role will primarily be based at our Deeside site, however, candidates must be willing to travel regularly to other sites (expenses can be claimed).
We are looking for candidates who are equipped with the skills to work in an extremely varied, fast-paced role. You will bring a proactive approach to solving complex people challenges, be naturally inquisitive and confident building effective relationships across the College. You will provide professional advice on day-to-day queries on HR matters from managers and employees, while delivering HR-related activities for a specified area within the College.
You will work across a wide range of HR tasks and priorities including providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related policies and procedures. A key part of this role will involve supporting managers with a varied employee relations caseload, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters, ensuring advice is legally compliant, pragmatic and solutions focused.
Supporting managers with recruitment associated activities, including writing new job descriptions, shortlisting, providing panel support at interviews and a wide variety of employment activities while ensuring an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
You will be dedicated to providing a high level of customer service and will be committed to keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice. You will build trusted relationships with managers and employees, providing confident, credible and professional HR advice.
This position will require you to work proactively as part of a wider team, and be flexible and adaptable when required. You will also be confident asking the right questions, analysing information objectively and constructively challenging where appropriate to support informed decision-making.
As an HR Advisor you will contribute to and support the development and implementation of policies, processes and projects that support the College's wider vision and promote a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.
It is important that you are comfortable working with data and will be able to use data and analytics to understand and identify opportunities for further improvement, identify trends and support evidence-based decision making to continuously improve our people practices.
Essential Requirements- CIPD professional qualification to Level 5
- Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers on HR related matters
- Experience of processing transactional HR procedures
Welsh skills are essential for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
