HR Officer

We require an agency worker to cover Executive Officer II duties in the People & Organisational Development team, Corporate Services.
The anticipated duration of the placement is up to 31 March 2027 (placement will be subject to the Commission's budget i.e. the placement may end at any time should the budget situation demand it).
The key duties relate to:

• Assist with the development of a staff training plan covering 2026/28 and support its introduction throughout the remainder of this business year.
• Procure and support the completion of a skills audit in preparation for the 2027/28 staff training plan.
• Support the development of succession planning in the Commission and support the production a simple succession plan.
• Processing training applications using the Hark system.
• Assist with monitoring the training budget spend.
• Assisting the Commission plan and deliver a programme of internal and external recruitment through implementation of the Commission's Recruitment and Selection Procedures, including using the Commission's online recruitment system.
• Assisting with the implementation of the Commission's hybrid working plan.
• Contribute to the efficient and effective organisation and completion of the day to day work of human resources administration, including using the Commission's attendance recording system.
• Maintaining records of sickness absence on the Hark system and ensuring the completion by managers of absence return forms and interviews.
• Assisting with the planned transfer of manual personnel files to a digital format.

The Commission operates on a hybrid working basis. Please note that the agency worker will be working initially in the office.
