HR Advisor

Looking for your next opportunity in HR? MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in their search for a Human Resources Advisor to join their Organisation Development team in Antrim.

The Role As a Human Resources Advisor, you will provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters. You will work closely with the wider HR team to deliver a professional, responsive and customer-focused service. The role will cover a broad range of HR activities, including:
Providing first-line advice and guidance on HR queries and processes. Supporting recruitment and selection, including job adverts, shortlisting and interviews. Supporting managers with absence, attendance and employee relations matters. Preparing contracts, job offers and pre-employment documentation. Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and other HR processes. Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR systems. Responding to HR queries and managing shared inboxes.

Producing HR reports and supporting wider HR projects. Advising managers and employees on terms and conditions and HR procedures. Supporting the review and implementation of HR policies and processes.

The Person We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate: CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards this, or 4 years' relevant HR experience in lieu of the qualification. At least 2 years' HR experience providing first-line advice and support to employees and managers. At least 2 years' experience in recruitment and selection procedures. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Good IT skills and experience using a range of computerised office systems. The ability to work accurately and effectively in a busy environment. A full current driving licence, or access to suitable transport where driving is not possible.
