People and Culture Advisor

We're looking for a proactive People & Culture Advisor to join a busy HR team, providing expert guidance across the employee lifecycle and supporting managers on a range of people matters. This role is 1- 2 days in the office and the rest remotely. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional with strong employee relations knowledge and a passion for creating a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing advice on onboarding, pre-employment checks and Occupational Health recommendations Supporting managers with probation reviews, extensions and outcomes Assisting with recruitment and resourcing activities Maintaining HRIS records and supporting payroll processes Managing absence cases and advising on attendance procedures Supporting employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances and performance management Advising on HR policies, procedures and employment law Contributing to HR projects, employee engagement initiatives and organisational change activities Delivering training and workshops for managers and employees

About you:

CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent) Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or People Advisor role Strong employee relations experience Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
