HR Officer - Standalone

HR Officer | County Down | Permanent MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established food manufacturing business to recruit an HR Officer for a permanent opportunity. This is a varied, standalone role offering ownership of day-to-day HR activity. You will work closely with the management team, providing practical advice and helping create a positive employee experience. The role Manage recruitment and on boarding, including contracts and employment documentation.

Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters. Support disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance management processes. Coordinate appraisals, probation reviews and employee engagement and well being initiatives. Maintain accurate HR records, monitor absence and holidays, and prepare people reports and statutory returns. Support payroll administration and coordinate training and development activity. Maintain health and safety training records and support confidential reporting processes.

About you Minimum 2 year's experience in an HR Officer, HR Coordinator or similar generalist position. CIPD qualified or currently working towards a relevant CIPD qualification. Experience supporting recruitment and on boarding. A sound understanding of HR best practice and employment legislation. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and build relationships across the business.
