MCS Group is looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer to join a leading and diverse derivatives marketplace, in their Belfast office, on a contract basis. Joining the Tech Ops function, you will support business‑critical, customer‑facing systems within a high‑availability environment.

This contract is well suited to someone with a background in production operations, Tech Ops, incident management and system support, who is comfortable working in live environments and responding effectively to service incidents.

You will be responsible for monitoring live systems, responding to alerts, performing initial investigation and remediation, and escalating issues in line with established operational processes.

You will work closely with internal technology teams to ensure system stability and timely incident resolution across multiple environments.

This Production Support Engineer will monitor customer‑facing environments including Production, Test and Disaster Recovery.

Working within L1 / L2 Support, you will respond to system and application incidents, performing triage and remediation where appropriate, and escalating incidents in a timely manner when appropriate.

You will also use monitoring and operational tools to ensure incidents are acknowledged and resolved efficiently.

Some prior experience in a Production Support, Technology Operations or Application Support role is required.

Experience with Unix / Linux and with basic troubleshooting techniques is essential.

You will have experience supporting customer‑facing or business‑critical systems.

This is an incredibly busy area of the business, and so strong ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure is required.

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is not essential but would be nice‑to‑have!

Working Hours: 7am - 4pm

IR35: Inside

Assignment Rate: Competitive

Contract Duration: 9 - 12 months (Maternity Cover)
