We require a hands-on Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineer to drive the secure implementation of application infrastructure. The critical need is deep expertise in Azure API Management (APIM) (full lifecycle) and Application Gateway integration.

• Azure API Management (APIM):

  • Proven experience delivering the full development lifecycle of APIM.
  • Ability to define and implement advanced XML policies (throttling, caching, JWT validation).
  • Experience integrating APIM with backend services and setting up the Developer Portal.

• Networking & Security:

  • App Gateway: Implementation experience, specifically integrating with APIM and WAF (Web Application Firewall) configuration.
  • Secure by Design: Demonstrated ability to build secure applications (OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, VNET integration).

• Dev Ops & Automation:

  • CI/CD: Proficiency in building automated build and release pipelines (Azure Dev Ops/Git Hub Actions).
  • IaC: Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure provisioning.

• Documentation:

  • Must be able to independently craft High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for client sign-off.

• Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF): Must understand Azure Landing Zone concepts (Management Groups, Subscriptions, Policy) to ensure deployments comply with existing governance, but does not need to be an LZ Architect.

• Ability to translate technical constraints into business risks for stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to liaise between the app development team and the platform/infrastructure team.

Essential Criteria:

• 7 years’ experience in Information Technology with 5 years Dev Ops experience with a focus on Microsoft Azure
• Self-driven approach at work with an intrinsic motivation to excel and take ownership of tasks and projects.
• Strong demonstrable experience with Azure Dev Ops (or equivalent CI/CD tooling), scripting languages, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Power Shell DSC
• Experienced in building and configuring cloud services using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Good knowledge on Microsoft Cloud adoption framework for Azure
• One or more of the following Azure certifications:

  Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified:
  Dev Ops Engineer Expert
• Experience of implementing modern CI/CD processes for releasing software
• Experience in implementing and advocating for Dev Ops methodologies and processes.
• Broad experience building and configuring Azure IaaS and PaaS services (i.e., pp Service, VNETs, NSGs, SQL databases, Service Bus, Function Apps, Key Vault, Logic Apps)
• Experience with Git

• Terraform Associate certification
