Talent Acquisition Specialist | Recruitment, Staffing, SourcingWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Privacy Analyst with a foundation in both data privacy and legal frameworks. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to ensuring the organization's data privacy compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in privacy law and data management, along with the ability to adapt quickly and think on their feet in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the organization’s data privacy strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain data protection policies and practices.
- Assist in conducting data privacy risk assessments and ensure effective controls are in place.
- Help monitor and improve data privacy practices across various departments.
- Provide support on privacy-related technical issues and assist with documentation and training materials.
- Assist in creating privacy-related reports and presentations (decks) for cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with legal, IT, and security teams to embed data privacy in all aspects of business operations.
- Stay informed on changes to privacy laws, regulations, and best practices, and help with adjusting internal procedures.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Law, Data Science, or a related field, with a keen interest in data privacy and legal compliance.
- Experience or strong academic knowledge of data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts in a practical, real-world setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Prior experience or coursework related to privacy, data governance, or compliance is an advantage.
