DevOps Engineer

MCS Group is working exclusively with a growing, product‑led software business looking to make their first hire in Northern Ireland. We're looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join their small, but growing engineering team where you'll own cloud automation, contribute to product discussions, and gain real client exposure. This is the perfect opportunity for a mid‑level Dev Ops Engineer with experience of AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and ideally some client exposure seeking that next step up.

• Design and automate AWS environments (Cloud Formation)
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Code Deploy)
• Work with Docker and ECS to optimise deployments
• Write automation tools in Python, PHP or Type Script
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and infrastructure work
• Support incidents, improve reliability, drive preventative fixes
• Engage with customers on architecture and troubleshooting

• Some commercial experience in Dev Ops, infrastructure or software engineering
• AWS experience
• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and CI/CD tooling
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable explaining technical concepts clearly

• First hire for this company in Northern Ireland

• Broad development across Dev Ops, engineering and business skills

• Up to £65,000 plus benefits
