Business Analyst Contractor - Financial Services - Belfast (Hybrid)

A Belfast-based financial services product organisation is seeking an experienced Business Analyst contractor to join a core platform delivery team. This position will focus on supporting multiple delivery streams by working closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to translate business knowledge into clearly defined technical requirements for engineering teams.

You will collaborate daily with product and business stakeholders to understand operational workflows, product objectives, and domain requirements, converting these into well‑structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation. The role also involves supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and ongoing delivery clarification to ensure development teams have the information required to build and test effectively. Acting as the bridge between business and engineering, you will help maintain delivery momentum while ensuring solution clarity.

• Financial services product environment
• Agile / Scrum delivery teams
• Close collaboration with developers, QA, and product leadership
• Hybrid working with regular onsite engagement in Belfast

• Proven experience operating as a Business Analyst within technology‑focused teams
• Exposure to financial services environments
• Strong experience working alongside Product Owners to shape and refine requirements
• Skilled in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery documentation
• Comfortable engaging directly with engineering and testing teams
• Able to attend the Belfast office at least two days per week

• Day rate up to £475
• Outside IR35 engagement
• Hybrid model with minimum two onsite days weekly
• Immediate or near‑term start
