IT Support & System Administrator - Volunteer

Secure and maintain the Google-based digital backbone of a global social enterprise. Support multi-country infrastructure, Slack Pro communications, and user troubleshooting to keep our international teams connected and safe.

Your contribution will

• Strengthen shared digital infrastructure across countries instead of fragmented systems
• Reduce dependency on external developers by strengthening internal technical judgement
• Integrate digital tools that genuinely support educators, youth and volunteers by being able to support them with any technical issues

• Expertise in Google Workspace administration or similar
• Experience with Slack Pro team management and Asana project workflows.
• Experience with web hosting management (GoDaddy) and e-commerce.
• Strong communication skills for supporting a culturally diverse team.

• Experience in software development, integrations or technical architecture,
• Experience in end-to-end development of web applications (UI, server, database)
• Familiarity with APIs, automation and platform interoperability
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers and analysts
• Understanding of safeguarding, data protection and ethical constraints
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
• Traditional full-stack skills - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, various frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), Node.js, Python (backend), databases (SQL, No
  
  SQL)
• experience in building intelligent, AI-driven applications, integrating ML models across the entire stack.
• Python, ML frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch), data handling, API integration (OpenAI, etc.), RAG, vector databases, model deployment

We would prefer a full stack developer

• Experience working with or alongside
  • educators, facilitators, youth workers or programme teams
  • digital platforms, online communities or blended learning environments

• Strong systems thinking and documentation skills, with the ability to

Experience in charities, CICs, social enterprises or international contexts is highly valued but not essential.

• Are based in Northern Ireland (though this is not essential)
• Bring lived experience of migration, cultural transition or integration
• Have experience in arts, mindfulness, yoga or wellbeing practice alongside professional expertise
• Are motivated by equity, youth voice and ethical leadership

We are seeking a IT Support & System Administrator to support the technical feasibility, integration and implementation of eduSOIL’s learning, community and participation systems.

• Helping to manage/maintain Google Workspace for Nonprofits, including user permissions, shared drives, and security.
• Helping to manage/ maintain Slack Pro for global team communications.
• Monitoring hosting environments (e.g., GoDaddy) and ensuring uptime for our upcoming website launch.
• Providing front-end troubleshooting for remote staff across NI, South Africa, Sudan, and India.
• Supporting the administrative rollout of our integrated eLearning sites (Blend-ed/Swarm) as well as ecommerce site.
