IT Audit Specialist

Belfast (Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days home) IT Auditor

We are seeking an IT Auditor to join a Corporate Audit Services function based in Belfast. This is a hybrid role offering a blend of SOX compliance work, technology risk assessment, and operational audit activity within a fast-paced and evolving organisation.

You’ll join a collaborative audit team and play a key role in strengthening internal IT audit capability, working closely with external partners while delivering meaningful assurance and insight across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands‑on audit delivery with a broader view of systems, data, and business impact.

• Deliver IT audit activity with a focus on SOX IT controls (approximately 35‑40% of the role)
• Perform technology risk assessments and operational IT audits across core business systems
• Evaluate end‑to‑end processes, system integrations, and data flows
• Apply data analytics to support audit testing and risk identification
• Partner with stakeholders across IT, Finance, and the wider business
• Support large‑scale system change and transformation initiatives
• Contribute to the ongoing development of internal audit practices and capability

• Experience in IT Audit
  , technology risk, or IT controls assurance
• Strong knowledge of SOX IT controls and control frameworks
• Ability to understand complex system landscapes and their business impact
• Confidence engaging with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• A proactive, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Someone motivated by learning, growth, and broader business exposure
