Boeing Global Services IT is seeking an experienced IT Business Partner (ITBP) to join our team in Belfast, UK. The role focuses on partnering closely with business leaders and functions to deliver digital solutions that drive business success. The ITBP acts as a trusted advisor to business line executives and managers, ensuring seamless execution of contracts and alignment of IT initiatives with business needs.

The position can be based in Belfast or Bristol, with 50% travel required to Belfast if based in Bristol.

In addition to core IT Business Partner responsibilities, the role oversees related IT projects and programmes to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery aligned with strategic objectives.

Position Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key liaison between the business or function and Boeing IT to understand priorities and needs, developing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate directly with the business or function to understand problems or initiatives, representing them within Boeing IT and engaging the right resources to deploy solutions with first‑time quality.
  • Develop and execute communication plans, including status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and impacts, coordinating with the business or function to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments.
  • Provide input and lessons learned on IT processes, procedures, tools and techniques, ensuring alignment to quality management solutions for the business or function.
  • Coordinate and influence cross‑functional teams, including project managers, developers, analysts and vendors, to deliver business outcomes.
Position Competencies
  • Business Acumen:
    Deep understanding of business processes and industry trends, translating business needs into IT requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience managing relationships with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that support business objectives, including change management and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Project and Portfolio Management:
    Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/SaFe, Waterfall), prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications and emerging technologies, evaluating technology solutions and their impact on business.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities, experience with data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Negotiation and Influence:
    Ability to negotiate with vendors and internal stakeholders, influencing without direct authority.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • Proven experience as an IT Business Partner or similar role, delivering IT‑enabled business outcomes.
  • Experience leading or supporting organizational change initiatives, driving adoption of new technologies or processes.
  • Successful delivery of IT projects that meet business requirements, managing budgets and resources.
  • Managing relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
  • Working effectively with diverse teams and different cultures.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks related to IT projects and business operations.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to influence and lead cultural change in a complex organisational environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Agile, or Change Management (e.g. Prosci) are highly desirable.
