As the A220 Production Digital Technology & Connectivity Specialist you are the critical technical bridge between the Belfast shop floor and the global Airbus digital organisation. Your mission is to translate complex manufacturing ambitions into clear digital requirements, ensuring projects are positioned within the site landscape and aligned with Airbus digital strategy.
Responsibilities- Maintain expert knowledge of Belfast site architecture, OT network topology, hardware constraints and legacy‑to‑modern integrations.
- Advise industrial teams on how new projects fit into the local technical environment.
- Evaluate local manufacturing needs and map them against Airbus digital strategy, preventing isolated "Shadow IT".
- Coordinate deployment of central teams (Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Digital for Operations) to launch projects.
- Lead on‑site assessments of new production projects, defining digital packages, hardware, software and connectivity.
- Map data pathways between industrial assets and corporate systems, ensuring compliance with global protocols and data governance.
- Act as a technical translator between Belfast production teams and central digital architects.
- 5+ years in an IT/OT role within complex manufacturing or industrial settings (aerospace, automotive, etc.).
- Proven ability to interpret complex enterprise architectures and map local project requirements.
- Solid knowledge of shop‑floor technologies (PLCs, SCADA, MES) and how they interface with corporate IT (networks, cloud, ERP/SAP).
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Desirable:
Project leadership experience coordinating across cyber, infrastructure and operations.
