Hybrid working arrangements Fantastic salary and benefits packages Ownership of key business decisions A well-established logistics and distribution business operating across Northern Ireland, Ireland and Great Britain is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its internal IT function. With multiple depots, a fleet of over 150 vehicles and approximately 400 employees, technology plays a critical role in supporting warehousing, transport planning and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of IT Support Engineers. Manage Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure environments. Oversee network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless networks across multiple sites. Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Manage cyber security, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation and user awareness initiatives. Support warehouse technologies including handheld scanners, label printers and transport management systems (TMS).
Deliver infrastructure improvement projects, including cloud migrations and hardware refreshes. Manage third-party suppliers, software licensing and the annual IT budget. Ensure IT services meet agreed SLAs and minimise downtime across warehouse and transport operations. Essential:
Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT leadership position Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and cyber security Experience managing IT projects, budgets, and third-party providers Ability to align technology with wider business objectives Experience working within a fast-paced professional services or consultancy environment advantageous Knowledge of compliance, governance, and information security standards - ISO 27001 Why choose VANRATH?
