Job DescriptionYou are the critical technical bridge between the Belfast shop floor and the global Airbus digital organization. Your mission is to translate complex manufacturing ambitions into clear, executable digital requirements and ensure that every new industrial project is accurately positioned within the existing site landscape and aligned with the broader Airbus digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain expert knowledge of the Belfast site’s architectural landscape, including OT network topology, hardware constraints and legacy-to-modern system integrations.
- Consult on new projects to ensure they fit the local technical environment without disrupting operations.
- Map local manufacturing requirements against the Airbus Company-Wide Digital Strategy and enforce global architectural patterns.
- Coordinate deployment of central teams (Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Digital for Operations) and specify tasks required from each.
- Lead on-site assessments of new production projects and define the required digital package.
- Map data flows between industrial assets and corporate systems, ensuring compliance with Cyber Security and data governance standards.
- Serve as the technical translator between Belfast production teams and central digital architects.
- 5+ years of experience in an IT/OT role within a complex manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven ability to interpret complex enterprise architectures and map local requirements.
- Strong knowledge of shop-floor technologies (PLCs, SCADA, MES) and their integration with corporate IT (Networks, Cloud, ERP/SAP).
- Experience coordinating across multiple central departments to drive end-to-end project delivery.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
