Abacus Careers is recruiting on behalf of a leading business that have significantly invested in its Belfast operation in recent year. We are seeking an experienced IT Cloud & Platform Network Engineer to join its Infrastructure Services team. This is an exciting and pivotal time for this organisation as it extends its growth into Europe and the Americas.

This is your opportunity to play a key role in designing, implementing and supporting secure, scalable cloud and network infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. You'll work as part of a collaborative Infrastructure Services team, partnering with developers, product owners, data engineers and key stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions and drive continuous improvement.

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, high-performing network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Architect and enhance Microsoft Azure solutions, with exposure to AWS technologies.
• Develop cloud architecture aligned with business strategy, security standards and scalability best practices.
• Manage cloud network security, vulnerability remediation and Zero Trust networking initiatives.
• Configure and optimise networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN and load balancing solutions.
• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting and proactive monitoring to maximise system performance and availability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver infrastructure improvements and maintain backup, configuration management and BCDR capabilities.
• Support automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using technologies such as Terraform, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Functions.

• Several years' experience in an Infrastructure, Network Engineering or Dev Ops-focused role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and knowledge of AWS.
• Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks, including CIS and ISO
  27001.
• Experience managing cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management and Zero Trust networking principles.
• Proven knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN and network load balancing solutions.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, AKS and Azure Functions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• ITIL knowledge is essential, with ITIL certification desirable. Experience supporting legal sector platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics AX, would be advantageous.
