PA Consulting is hiring a Data Science Consultant to join our Digital & Data community in Belfast, United Kingdom.

What the role involves
  • Work with agile best practices and cross‑functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem‑solve with clients in live, in‑person whiteboarding sessions and asynchronous communication on Teams.
  • Hybrid working: client site or office a minimum of two days per week (up to five days on a client site).
  • Use advanced analytics techniques to support data‑centric decision making in public and private sector organisations.
  • Develop solutions across the full analytics and modelling lifecycle – problem formulation, exploratory data analysis, model design, build, testing and handover.
  • Translate business needs into analytical approaches and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Tech stack
  • Data Bricks, Python, PySpark, R, Excel, Palantir Foundry, Power BI
Essential qualifications
  • Degree, Master's or PhD in data science, mathematics, operational research, physics, or statistics.
  • Experience conducting analysis for evidence‑based decision making and developing models.
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, Excel and data visualisation solutions.
  • Experience leading solutions involving advanced analytics, algorithm design, operational research, data engineering or dashboard development.
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
Nice to have
  • Excellent stakeholder management, project management and communication skills.
  • Experience in the software or product development lifecycle for analytical solutions.
  • Experience in the business process through client presentations and developing data and behavioural science propositions.
