Role Overview This is a Data Architect (Manager) role providing SME guidance across traditional data architecture disciplines - structures, flows, sourcing and governance. You'll work closely with clients to understand their data requirements, ensure solutions are fit for purpose, and provide technical leadership across the wider team. The role may extend to solution or enterprise-level work, including resolving data definition and mastering issues across complex stakeholder environments.
You'll also manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, supporting their performance and career growth.
Key Responsibilities Provide SME guidance on data structures, data flows, data sourcing and data governance Work closely with clients to understand data requirements and ensure fit-for-purpose solutions Provide technical leadership for the wider team on data matters Operate at solution or enterprise level, resolving data definition and mastering issues across complex stakeholder environments Support product or technology selection at project or enterprise level Manage, coach and develop junior team members, including performance and career development Provide direction and leadership to the team in solving challenging problems What You'll Need Essential:
Strong technical design expertise in core data architecture disciplines: data modelling, data analysis, metadata management, data transformation, data migration, master data Track record providing technical leadership on data projects, including assurance, mentoring and standards definition
Experience of product or technology selection, at project or enterprise level Excellent client engagement skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders; able to provide thought leadership Highly proficient in at least three mainstream data technologies, with awareness of wider trends Self-starter, comfortable with a high degree of uncertainty Demonstrated ability managing, coaching and developing junior team members Desirable:
