We're looking for an experienced Google Cloud Data Engineer to join an established data platform team, working on high-volume CDC and real-time data ingestion projects.

What you'll be doing:

Building and enhancing GCP-based data pipelines
Working with Cloud Datastream, Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub & Cloud Storage
Developing scalable CDC solutions from SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB into Big Query
Optimising Big Query performance and data lake architecture
Supporting production pipelines, troubleshooting and continuous platform improvements

What we're looking for:

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
Expertise in Big Query and real-time data ingestion
Experience with Terraform/Open Tofu (IaC)
Git Lab CI/CD knowledge
Strong understanding of data engineering best practices and production support
Experience with secure GCP networking (Private Service Connect, VPN, Interconnect) is highly desirable

Location: UK-based (supporting a Germany-based client)
