Play a pivotal role in the upholding the security of IELTS.
We are looking for a Security Standards, Assurance & Best Practice Manager to provide operational support and expertise to the Security Standards, Assurance & Best Practice Lead within the IELTS Central Security Team. The role involves assisting in the design of risk-based assurance programmes, contributing to policy reviews, managing lessons learned processes, advising on new controls, collating and promoting best practices, and tracking global adoption to ensure security measures are consistently applied and improved.

About the roleWorking at the intersection of intelligence, data and security, this role delivers timely intelligence and high-impact reporting that empowers senior stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvements to assessment security.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:- Supporting prioritisation of assurance activities using threat data, incidents and risk profiles
- Contributing to the development, review and updating of key policies
- Helping to ensure policies align with emerging risks, regulations and business needs
- Assisting in the dissemination of actionable insights and recommendations to prevent recurrences and strengthen controls globally
- Supporting the rollout of controls into operational processes and partner requirements
- Preparing regular reports on security assurance, compliance metrics and adoption reports for senior leadership, governance bodies and partners
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aboutyou
You'll bring a strong foundation in intelligence gathering and threat analysis, with the ability to identify emerging risks and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights. Curious, analytical and proactive, you'll be motivated by the opportunity to help protect the integrity of a globally recognised assessment.
You will have:- Proven experience in security assurance, standards management, policy support or risk advisory, ideally in educational assessment, examination security or compliance sectors
- Track record of contributing to assurance programmes, policies/standards reviews, audit guidance and security best practice initiatives
- Experience in cross functional collaboration, particularly with partners in international contexts
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing, stakeholder engagement, and delivering guidance
