CME Group is currently looking for a placement year intern to gain valuable experience working within our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Department. The successful applicant will assist the TPRM team members with day-to-day activities and on special projects. The role will contribute to key internal projects and enhancements related to current processes.
PrincipalAccountabilities
- Assist with data collection and analysis, documentation, visualization and reporting, and ad-hoc projects related to third party risk management topics.
- Gather and analyze data in connection with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with daily TPRM Operational tasks.
- Update and maintain information in systems and procedure documents.
- Perform system testing.
- Support CME Group's effort to develop innovative enhancements by suggesting ideas that improve internal processes.
- Assist with efficiency and automation efforts.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to understand and absorb business & risk concepts quickly.
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Passion for learning new skills, technologies, and passionate about conveying knowledge.
- Automation and AI skills, including Python coding and Google Gemini.
- Hands on experience with Tableau and Google Looker visual data analysis and reporting software.
- Knowledge of Agile and lean portfolio management.
- Familiarity with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) concepts.
- Experience with GRC and Risk Management Software including:
Archer, Panorays, Dun & Bradstreet. - Experience in financial markets (e.g. exchange-based, OTC, FCM, brokerage house).
- Knowledge of derivatives, trade lifecycle, clearing, risk, or post-trade processing.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degrees (Finance, Economics, Risk, Compliance, Information Technology, Law, Business or related field) with a year in industry 2026-7
- Local to Belfast as you'll be expected to be in the office three days per week
