Technical Project Manager - Call Centre/Contact Centre Migration

We're recruiting a Technical Project Manager for a 6-month contract, engaged on an Outside IR35 basis, working primarily remotely. This role requires a seasoned, technology-agnostic delivery professional with a strong background in traditional infrastructure — networks, storage, devices, and legacy platforms — who can lead a complex migration programme from requirements through to vendor selection and implementation kickoff.

This is a no-hand-holding role. We need someone with a genuinely outgoing, proactive character who can take ownership from day one, drive the RFP process independently, and confidently lead a room of technical and business stakeholders without needing direction.

Contact Centre / Call Centre experience is essential — this programme sits within a contact centre environment, and the successful candidate must understand the operational and technical realities of that space.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of an infrastructure migration programme spanning network, storage, devices, and legacy platforms
• Own and drive the RFP process for a delivery vendor — from requirements definition and documentation through to vendor evaluation, selection, and contracting support
• Translate legacy infrastructure and platform constraints into clear migration requirements and evaluation criteria for prospective vendors
• Act as the technical authority bridging infrastructure teams, architecture, procurement, and business stakeholders
• Manage vendor engagement throughout the RFP lifecycle — briefings, Q&A, scoring, and down-selection
• Own project governance: RAID logs, milestone tracking, budget oversight, and steering committee reporting
• Proactively identify risks and dependencies across legacy systems, network, and storage estates ahead of migration/implementation
• Support transition planning from RFP outcome into vendor-led migration and implementation phases
• Engage confidently and directly with technical SMEs, contact centre operations leads, and senior stakeholders — driving pace and decisions without close supervision

• Proven Technical Project Manager background with hands‑on experience across "old school" infrastructure — networks, storage, devices, and legacy platforms
• Demonstrable experience delivering migration projects across legacy or on‑premise environments
• Technology-agnostic delivery experience — comfortable working across multiple platforms, vendors, and technical stacks rather than a single specialism
• Direct experience supporting or creating an RFP process for a vendor delivering migration and implementation work
• Contact Centre / Call Centre environment experience is mandatory
• A confident, outgoing, and highly proactive working style — able to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable leading technical and commercial conversations with vendors and internal teams
• Solid grounding in project governance, risk management, and structured delivery

• Experience with procurement/commercial processes beyond RFP (e.g. contract negotiation support, vendor onboarding)
• Prince2, APM, or equivalent project management certification
• Background in telephony, IVR, or CCaaS-adjacent infrastructure
• Experience delivering in regulated or high-availability environments
