Are you an experienced Payroll Analyst, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator or Payroll Manager looking to move into software consulting?

We're looking for payroll professionals who want to transition into implementation consulting. You'll receive structured training on the Access Group's PeopleXD platform while working with clients to deliver payroll implementations from discovery through go-live. Previous PeopleXD experience is not required
—strong payroll knowledge is.

As a PeopleXD Payroll Consultant within our Eaton Square practice, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll implementations on the Access Group PeopleXD platform. You will lead client engagements from requirements discovery through to go-live and hypercare, translating complex payroll rules into precise system configuration while managing client expectations with commercial awareness. This is a delivery-focused role for a consultant who combines deep payroll knowledge with a structured implementation mindset.

• Lead client discovery sessions to gather detailed payroll requirements, facilitating workshops from end-user to C-level stakeholders.
• Design and configure PeopleXD Payroll modules, translating business rules into system settings including pay calendars, approval workflows, and internal controls.
• Produce high-quality functional specifications and configuration documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Deliver implementations in line with Access Implementation Methodology (AIM), managing work streams proactively to maintain time and budget.

• Support data migration activities including preparation and validation of migration templates to ensure data integrity.
• Configure reporting tools to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency for clients.
• Support integrations with third‑party finance systems and external applications, with exposure to SFTP and API-based connectivity.

• Plan and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and provide structured UAT support, including end-to-end payroll parallel runs.
• Lead payroll parallel run validation, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure payroll accuracy before cutover.
• Manage cutover activities, go-live execution, and post-launch hypercare, ensuring a stable and confident transition for each client.
• Deliver training to HR, Payroll, and operational teams, ensuring high system adoption and client self-sufficiency post go-live.
• Identify optimisation opportunities and support clients through quarterly PeopleXD platform releases.
