Head of Fraud Analytics – Leading Fintech
We're partnering with a fast-growing fintech that's scaling rapidly across the UK and looking for a Head of Fraud Analytics to lead and evolve its fraud analytics function.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own fraud analytics strategy across the customer lifecycle, helping shape how fraud is detected, measured, and prevented across multiple products. You'll combine strategic leadership with hands‑on analytical expertise, driving innovation, improving customer outcomes, and supporting the launch of new products.
What you'll be doing:Leading the fraud analytics strategy across customer onboarding, transaction monitoring, and ongoing fraud prevention.
Managing and developing a high performing team of fraud analysts while remaining closely involved in complex analytical work.
Designing, monitoring, and optimising fraud rules and controls to minimise losses while maintaining an excellent customer experience.
Identifying new data sources, tools, and analytical approaches to strengthen fraud detection capabilities.
Partnering with Product, Risk, Operations, and Leadership teams to influence business decisions through data driven insights.
Leading fraud analytics initiatives for new product launches and strategic business projects
Presenting recommendations and performance insights to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
Driving continuous improvement across fraud processes, reporting, and decision-making frameworks.
What they're looking for:Significant fraud analytics experience within banking, payments, card issuing, or fintech environments.
Strong expertise in card fraud and customer lifecycle fraud management.
Advanced analytical skills with hands on experience using SQL;
Python experience is advantageous.
Proven experience leading and developing analytical teams.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance fraud prevention, risk management, and customer experience.
Experience owning analytical strategies from problem definition through to implementation and measurement.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
Deep understanding of the UK fraud landscape, emerging fraud trends, and regulatory developments.
