This role covers the implementation, management, maintenance and support of all network infrastructure, perimeter security systems and network management platforms and offers the chance to become the authority on these subjects
Employees within this area are expected to work independently and use their own initiative. They perform the full range of duties required in providing solutions to our health customer base and will have advanced general troubleshooting skills. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arises and will be fully aware of operating procedures and policies.
Employees will work as part of a mature managed service team delivering project and managed services work into our UK&I Enterprise Health managed service customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership and accountability of the detailed engineering, scheduling, documentation and rollout for implementation projects
- Design and implementation of the network infrastructure.
- Liaison with customer, design authority and project manager to capture all user and system requirements in order to define the design requirements specification.
- Ensure that all projects are completed within deadlines and to the highest standards.
- Development and ownership of documentation
- Low-level design of network and security infrastructure (LAN / WAN / WLAN / Firewalls / Application Delivery Controllers etc.)
- Integration and handover of implemented systems to operational teams.
- Continual improvement of the systems based on changing demands.
- Liaising with various departments within the Enterprise Health business unit.
- Coordinating with 3rd party suppliers and partners to support, maintain and implement these systems.
- Integrity and control of business data
- Control and support of Internet access
- Ensuring business data is backed up and securely held off-site
- Data centre and customer premises visits for hardware and software maintenance and installation
