Location:

Belfast, Northern Ireland On-site, 5 days per week. Due to the location and operational requirements of the role, candidates must be able to reliably travel to and from the workplace each working day.

Due to the nature of the work and the customers we support, successful candidates must be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual security requirements, including applicable residency requirements, and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. We're looking for a Junior Oracle Infrastructure & Database Engineer to join our team in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting enterprise Oracle platforms while developing skills across database administration, infrastructure engineering, cloud services and automation technologies.

• You’ll support the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Oracle platforms and their supporting infrastructure, gaining exposure to:
• Oracle Database Administration
• SQL and PL/SQL Development
• Linux and Windows Server Support
• Cloud Platforms including AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Automation and Scripting
• Platform Monitoring and Performance Optimisation
• Infrastructure and Operational Support

• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Exposure to Linux or Windows Server environments
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• A genuine interest in technology and continuous learning
• Ability to follow documented processes and operational procedures

• Experience or exposure to any of the following would be advantageous:
  Oracle Database SQL and PL/SQL Linux administration Python, Bash or Power Shell scripting Backup and recovery concepts AWS, Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Git or other source control tools
