Signatus are working with one of NI’s most successful indigenous commercial law firms to recruit a commercial contracts lawyer into their award winning corporate team. This is a newly created role in the firm and as such the incoming commercial contracts lawyer will have the resources of a top class corporate and commercial team behind them to make the role a successful one.

This firm is one of the ‘top hitters’ when it comes to involvement in major corporate transactions and deal making in NI. An opportunity not to be missed!

Your new role

As a subject matter expert on all things commercial contracts, you will act as the lynchpin between the corporate transaction and support teams and the commercial teams in handling all aspects of contract negotiation, drafting and advising. Your scope will include a broad range of work focusing on commercial contracts, IT supply and support agreements, intellectual property, data protection, privacy matters, regulatory and compliance aspects as well as transactional corporate support and diligence.

The firm's clients range from environmental and energy sectors, utility regulators, private equity funds, construction firms and developers, software and analytics firms, telecommunications companies and listed stock exchange companies.

All about you

You will ideally have at least 3+ years experience within a commercial contracts based role either from a corporate/commercial law firm or within an in-house company.

As this is a newly created role, it brings with it a fantastic opportunity for the incoming lawyer/solicitor/barrister to develop a service offering that is first class and build out a resource team to support them in growing the offering further. You will be fully supported by the Directors of the firm in resourcing the department and will not need to do any business development initially to secure work as there is a solid pipeline already in existence.

Progressing the department once you are established as the go-to commercial contracts expert in the firm is where the real opportunity lies. If you are ambitious and motivated, and technically great at what you can do, then the case for a Director role within the firm will ultimately be made for you.
