Corporate Energy Solicitor – 2+ PQE

Location: Belfast

The Role:

As an Energy Solicitor, you will play a key role in advising clients on a range of energy‑related legal matters, including renewable energy projects, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure transactions. This position offers the chance to work on high‑profile projects and contribute to the evolving landscape of the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising clients on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and hydrogen developments.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts, including power purchase agreements, joint ventures, and construction agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK energy regulations and environmental policies.
  • Supporting project finance transactions and liaising with banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Advising on infrastructure developments, including grid connections and energy storage solutions.
  • Conducting due diligence on energy transactions and project acquisitions.
  • Representing clients in negotiations and dispute resolution processes.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Northern Ireland.
  • Experience in energy law, infrastructure projects, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of UK energy policies, environmental regulations, and emerging trends in renewable energy.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and client management.
