A well-established and highly regarded commercial law firm in Belfast is seeking to appoint a Head of Family & Matrimonial to lead and grow its specialist family law practice.

This is a senior strategic appointment offering the opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality private family law offering within a progressive and ambitious firm.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead and develop the Family & Matrimonial team

• Drive the strategic direction and growth of the practice

• Manage a varied caseload of high-quality private family matters

• Play an active role within the wider leadership team

• Mentor and develop junior lawyers

• Contribute to business development and client relationship management

The role offers genuine autonomy, influence at senior level, and the platform to further build an already reputable practice.

You will:

• Be an experienced Family & Matrimonial solicitor (Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner level)

• Have strong technical expertise across divorce, financial remedies, private children matters, and ancillary relief

• Demonstrate leadership capability and commercial awareness

• Be confident in business development and growing a practice

• Have strong client management skills and a reputation for delivering high-quality advice

A following would be advantageous but is not essential for the right individual with a clear growth plan.
