The Housing Executive is now recruiting for an Assistant Solicitor to join their team.

In this role, you will undertake and assist in the provision of professional and timely legal advice and assistance, in relation to a range of matters across the main functions of the team.
You will be expected to work independently, under the supervision of the Senior Solicitors, to ensure the provision of a high-quality legal services to all levels of the organisation.
You will also undertake a programme of development within Legal Services, with a typical duration of two – three years, engaging in a comprehensive Personal Development Programme, and gaining skills and experience across a number of areas of the Housing Executive’s legal work. On satisfactory completion, you will be appointed to a Band 7 Solicitor.
1. Possess a degree or equivalent level 6 qualification
2. Be a Solicitor of the Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland qualified to practice in Northern Ireland
3. Can demonstrate at least 24 months relevant post-qualification experience in the provision, or assisting in the provision, of legal advice and assistance in relation to either:
- The conduct of, or assisting in the conduct of, civil litigation matters in the High Court or County Court
- OR general title issues undertaking residential and/or commercial conveyancing transaction
- Excellent analytical thinking and decision making skills
- Strong organisational skills in order to manage a busy workload
- Ability to work well under pressure of multiple deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills
- Willingness and ability to work collegiately
5. Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full
