Insurance Litigation Associate

A top-ranked insurance disputes team at a leading international law firm is looking for a mid-level Associate to join its London practice. The team acts for policyholders, insurers and brokers, with a particular focus on energy, real estate and financial institutions. Clients include FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 corporates, and the work is high profile. Recent matters include billion-dollar aviation coverage claims, cyber claims after major attacks, construction all risks, W&I and the Covid-19 business interruption test case.

The firm is Tier 1 in both Chambers and Legal 500 for policyholder insurance litigation. You'll work on coverage disputes across all classes of insurance, contentious regulatory matters for clients in the sector, and some policy review advice. You'll also handle professional negligence claims, mainly involving insurance brokers and solicitors. You'll have regular client contact, real ownership of pieces of work, and the chance to supervise and support more junior Lawyers.

Requirements:
Around 2-4 years' PQE (more or less will be considered) England & Wales qualified Experience in insurance coverage, professional negligence or wider commercial litigation Strong drafting, negotiation and project management skills A commercial, practical approach and a good team player This is a great chance to join a market-leading practice, work on headline matters and build your career with some of the best people in the field.
